When Soffie was five years old, an illness made her mute. Prior to that, she loved to sing. Considered a genius at a young age, Soffie performed her songs in cities all over the world. After she lost her voice, she stopped singing. She transformed from a bubbly and sweet child to a quiet and sad soul. Growing up, Soffie kept to herself and had few close friends.

Little did others know, a beautiful world existed inside Soffie’s head. Soffie called it the Dream World... Wonderful characters resided within this world.

One day, Soffie visited a carnival with her brother Noah. There, Soffie met a fortune-teller who gave her a vial of pink liquid.

"Drink the potion for the gift of voice," the fortune-teller told Soffie. For days, Soffie had put the vial aside. One night, she decided to drink it, thinking she had nothing to lose. If the potion was magical, then she would be able to sing beautifully again.

When Soffie woke up, she found herself inside inside her Dream World. Amazed, Soffie explored her surroundings. She met Dream Souls, souls of people deceased in the Real World. Souls lingering in a Dream, seeking revival.

Soffie’s dream would soon turn into a nightmare when she discovered she could be trapped in her dream forever as a Dream Soul. After 30 days, if she does not return to the Real World, her body would die.

Soffie has 30 days to find a Soul Mate in the Dream World. If she succeeds, she may return to the Real World and regain her voice and life. If she fails, she will be Dream Soul forever and trapped in limbo.

Happy New Year. As of January 1, 2012, the game has been updated to fix the reported problems with certain computers.

How do we get the best ending?

I don't understend, what I need to do to have the best ending?

I was on Day 27 and then the screen to turned white and an (!) was in the middle >_<

I had the same exact issue. After it went white, I refreshed the page and now it says "Missing plug-in" which is strange seeing as it was just working up until that point.

it does not work it willl notlet me exit out and i cna not play i was looking frowardot this boo hoo u need to fix in like...now V.v

on the 1st one i got to 520 on riri and it said game over! i dont get that.

does gage look like len kagamine

and Soffie look like Rin Kagamine xDDD

*sigh* I thought that this one might have been an improvement from the last... I don't intend to sound mean about it but.. well for one, you recycled nearly all of the characters, the routes are shorter, things are more expensive, no real story to it, and the answers are all very very predictable and easy to chose, no real challenge at all. It seems lazily put together especially due to the fact its pretty much exactly like the first one, but worse. I haven't played "Riley" yet but isn't he like a boy version of that other girl from the first? Maybe they have some reation Idk but still.. yeah.

Well despite all that, I still love your older games quite a bit. For back then, they are really well done and they keep me more interested than this did.

Hi Rina, I really appreciate your review. Kaleidoscope is a world of souls. In the real world, the characters are no longer alive. But if they can leave the Dream World, they regain their bodies. Riley and Rylee are actually projections of the same soul. Same as Riri and Gage. They share the same soul, but different appearances in the Dream World, depending on who visits them: Cero or Soffie.

In essence, our story and world is quite deep, hinted through everyone's dialogues and the story written in the game. Every character has 36 x 3 unique lines, plus 20 additional dialogue. They actually have more dialogue than any of my other characters.

As for the artwork, Mayuiki takes at least 36 hours to complete the drawing and coloring. This time does not include thinking about the characters. Kyo hand coded 3000 plus lines of actionscript for this game. And I'm pretty sure it took a week for me to write the dialogue and storyline. I'm sure if we copied other people's artwork, storyline, and steal actionscript, we'd be able to quickly publish new games. But that's not what we do.

All this, we do for free for you guys.

We take everything you say to heart and will try to keep improving. Hopefully, you won't be disappointed by K3. Overall, however, our reviews for K2 are better than for K1.
